Lantor Bontex reviews coating and laminating feasibility for nonwoven, woven, film and foam-based textile materials, using its experience with interlining and nonwoven material testing. Review points include coating side, bonding method, flexibility, thickness feel, surface condition and end-use environment.
Processing directions to review
- One-side coating for nonwoven and woven fabrics
- Laminating combinations with film, foam and reinforcement layers
- Functional surface treatment for water-repellent, stain-resistant or protective purposes
- Material review for wipers, protective materials and industrial cover applications
Material conditions to check
Coating and laminating cannot be applied to every material under the same conditions. Fabric construction, surface treatment, weight, width, heat response and required adhesion all affect the test conditions. For that reason, the material characteristics should be reviewed first at the sample stage.
Information needed for consultation
- Material type, width, weight and surface condition
- The side to be coated or laminated and the purpose of processing
- Required adhesion, flexibility, thickness feel and surface hand
- End-use environment such as water, humidity, friction, heat or washing
- Sample test quantity and expected production volume
Sample testing and production review
Processing feasibility is judged after checking the material and required conditions through sample testing. Based on the test result, coating conditions, laminating structure, adhesive layer thickness, flexibility and production feasibility can be reviewed step by step.
Lantor Bontex review approach
Through its work with fusible interlining and nonwoven interlining, Lantor Bontex has built experience in adhesive conditions, fabric-specific press conditions and surface stability checks. This experience supports practical review of processing feasibility by material.
