Research & Development
Lantor Bontex carries out continuous R&D and quality testing to improve the quality stability of textile subsidiary materials such as apparel interlining, nonwoven fabrics, padding, pocketing fabric, lining fabric and garment tape. Based on more than 15 automatic measuring devices in our lab, we review sewing performance, washing fastness, dry-cleaning stability and tensile strength to suggest material specifications suitable for customers’ production conditions.
Textile Material Development Based on Quality Testing
Although apparel subsidiary materials are not always visible on the finished garment, they directly affect shape stability, sewing performance and changes after washing. Lantor Bontex regards R&D as the process of finding quality standards that can be applied to real production by reviewing customers’ fabrics, sewing methods, washing conditions and delivery requirements together.
Key Testing and Review Items
- Review of sewing performance between apparel fabrics, interlining and subsidiary materials
- Checking washing fastness and shape changes after repeated washing
- Review of stability under dry-cleaning conditions
- Checking tensile strength, durability and friction conditions
- Review of temperature, pressure and time conditions for fusible interlining
- Review of thickness and weight according to the finished silhouette and hand feel
R&D Application by Product
- fusible interlining·Non-Fusible Interlining: Review of bonding conditions and shape stability by fabric
- nonwoven interlining·woven interlining: Comparison of weight, thickness, hand feel and sewing performance
- Lining Fabric·Pocketing Fabric: Review of friction, wearing comfort and durability
- Padding·Garment Tape: Checking resilience, reinforcement effect and production stability
Development and Quality Review Process
- Check the customer’s fabric, product purpose and application area
- Review required hand feel, thickness, color and washing conditions
- Select sample materials and set test conditions
- Check quality factors such as sewing performance, bonding and washing stability
- Confirm mass-production specifications and delivery response
Information Helpful Before Consultation
- Outer fabric or material type and fiber composition
- Application area and finished product purpose
- Desired hand feel, thickness and volume
- Care conditions such as washing or dry cleaning
- Expected quantity, delivery schedule and sample timeline
With this information, product candidate selection and test condition review can proceed more quickly.
Beyond simply supplying materials, Lantor Bontex works with customers to review textile subsidiary material quality that can be used reliably in production sites.
